It's one of those old what comes first....the chicken or the egg... dilemmas. Consumers want to make sure there is 3D content before they purchase 3D capable TVs. And those providing content want lots of 3D capable TVs out there....before they invest in the 3D programming. That's a big reason why Panasonic has forged a partnership with DirecTV, which has now launched a trio of 3D channels available to its high definition subscribers. "To answer the chicken and the egg, the plan is by 2013, 70 percent of all our flat panels or large screen flat panels will be 3D enabled. So we believe it's a feature that will become more prevalent based on consumer demand as well as what we've seen from the theatrical experience. "
