Getting amped up for the next Guitar Hero. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Activision and the folks at Freestyle Games are putting the finishing touches on Guitar Hero Live. The first new version of the franchise in six years arrives October 20th….and a whole new generation of fans will join in. So what will be different? Designer Jim Norris…
“We’ve taken what was a sort of looking at the stage perspective and we’ve actually put you inside the head of a real guitarist. We filmed live bands, live audiences, that react to you live while you’re performing. We really wanted to make people feel like they were the rock star. The other mode is GHTV which is our always online playable music network. And that is just like television. You turn it on, music videos are playing with note tracks to them and you can just hop in and play along.”
Guitar Hero Live will be available on the PlayStation 3 and 4, the Xbox One and 360 and the Wii U. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
