The guitar simulation music games are back. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. They’ve been a long time coming, but fans of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, finally have new versions for the latest game consoles. Freestyle Games Designer Jim Norris helped to create Guitar Hero Live for Activision….
“We’ve taken what was a sort of looking at the stage perspective and we’ve actually put you inside the head of a real guitarist. We filmed live bands, live audiences that react to you while you’re performing. We really wanted to make people feel like they were the rock star.”
It is a whole new experience…with new guitar capabilities… micro transactions for playing songs that you like that aren’t included in the game disc. Guitar Hero Live has a TV mode that lets you play along with what is streaming in real time too. Besides the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, 360 and Wii U console versions, it is also available on iOS. That’s a first. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
