Parrot's Disco fixed wing drone flies into view

Techstination feature for Tuesday, August 30, 2016

Parrot’s Disco fixed wing drone flies into view.    I’m Fred Fishkin with BootCamp, your Techstination for gadgets and gear.   It’s the latest consumer drone from Parrot….and this time…instead of a quad copter that hovers….the Disco flies like a plane…up to 50 miles per hour and for 45 minutes on a charge.   The nose mounted HD camera….paired with the included Parrot Cockpitglasses….that uses your smartphone…gives you an immersive first person view during flight.   And says CEO Henri Seydoux…it is packed with sensors and technology that make flying easy enough for everyone…

“Because the autopilot corrects every fault that you can do.   So the drone will never fall, the take off is automatic, the landing is automatic.”

The Parrot Disco lands in September for about thirteen hundred dollars…which includes the drone, the cockpitglasses and the Parrot Skycontroller 2.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
