Anticipation building for Panasonic's Lumix GH5 camera

Techstination feature for Monday, January 30, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     The anticipation for the next great camera from Panasonic is building.    The Lumix GH5 is due to arrive at the end of March and even though it will sell for about two thousand dollars, for the body only,  many photographers and videographers who were fans of the GH4 can’t wait.   It gets a bump up to 20.3 megapixels and eliminates the low pass filter for clarity.  Retail Services Manager Matt Frazer…

“The GH5 has a much more powerful engine.  Since it has a more powerful engine, we’re now able to process the full width of the image and then down res it in the camera.  So there’s no longer a crop.  All your wide angle lenses will be the same width, whether you shoot photos or you do video on the GH5.”

And the video capability, of course, is 4K at up to 60 frames per second.   You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
