Dixie offering free 3D printed coffee cup stoppers

Techstination feature for Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.  The Dixie company has been having some fun with 3D printing.   It is using the technology to create custom coffee cup stoppers for free for consumers.   The catch…you have to act fast.  Brand manager Chad Halbrook says it is called the Dixie Crushtomizer…

“We’re allowing five hundred customers to go online in the morning at 10:30 and have the chance to completely customize their coffee stopper.”

The little thing that plugs the hole in a disposable Dixie lid.   But you have to be prompt …at 10:30 eastern at Crushtomizer.com.   The 500 per day go fast.  The fun is scheduled to wrap up on February 13.   But given the popularity…don’t be surprised if they keep it going.

You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
