New moves by Verizon and Sprint seek to lure customers

Techstination feature for Monday, February 20, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     More carriers are trying to make a splash to win customers.     Verizon is battling back against upstart rivals T-Mobile and Sprint by bringing back unlimited data plans.   At 80 dollars a month…Verizon is not exactly the cheapest and that rate does require auto-pay and electronic statements,   but it does include hotspot capability for up to 10 gigabytes.    Sprint in the meantime is offering a promo for 5 unlimited lines of service for 90 dollars a month.    Marketing Director Ryan Souan…

“The way that its structured is it’s fifty dollars for the first line, forty dollars for the second line and then the third, fourth and fifth lines are free.”

The catch…the promo rate is good only until March of next year.   But the carrier says the rate after that still beats the competition.     You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
