A vest with tech...and one without

Techstination feature for Monday, March 6, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.   We’ve been fans of techie type clothing for a long time.     ItIWant.com has been raising funds on KickStarter for what is called the FoomExt heated vest.   It uses a standard USB Powerpack in an inside pocket of an ultra lightweight vest….to provide rapid warmth that can last for up to eight hours.   The company’s Xueting Go says it uses carbon nanotube fibers to deliver the heat…

“It has really low energy consumption and it doesn’t have any radiation.”

Making it safe and eco friendly.   It’s also washable and an app is in the works to let you control and schedule the heat through a smartphone.    It may not provide heat, but RealDealBrazil.com is also out with a vest with a rugged look…that is appealing from an environmental viewpoint.   It is made from recycled canvas tarps…from truck covers in Brazil.

You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
