Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      When it comes to robotic toys, WowWee has a history of making technology fun.     This year, the toymaker is partnering with the creators of Despicable Me …with the latest film coming in June…to bring the Minions to life with Minion MiP Turbo Dave.    Like other MiP robotic toys it balances on two wheels…and can be controlled with an app or allowed to roam free.    WowWee’s chief design officer Adam Fairless….

“So in free roam mode I can put him down, he can roam the house, he can see walls, he can see people’s feet, he can avoid them and interact.   Put him in dance mode and he’ll do a dance for you.”

WowWee’s MiP Turbo Dave  arrives in May for about 80 dollars.  There’s little doubt with the movie arriving the following month it will be in demand.  There are even coding functions…so Turbo Dave is educational too.
