An app for storing and sharing memories: Keepy

Techstination feature for Wednesday, March 22, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    If you’ve got kids or grandkids…you know how time flies by.   And you’d like to hold onto and share…those special school papers, drawings and photos.    An app called Keepy is designed to make it simple and it now boasts a million family members who are using it.   CEO Offir Gutelzon says grandparents are finding some new uses for the app too…

“Instead of just commenting on the kids’ memories, they’ve actually started to use the app for their own reason.   And what they do is instead of taking photos of the artwork, they actually take photos out of printed photos they have in an album and then using our video and voice narration, they will sit down and tell stories, which means that grandparents are now sharing memories.”

A free version is limited to five uploads per month…but an unlimited subscription is just 10 dollars a year.    There’s more at Keepy.com.
