Keeping phones connected with small cells: Vertical Bridge

Techstination feature for Tuesday, April 4, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     There’s more to it than meets the eye when it comes to keeping all of our mobile devices connected.   We’re used to seeing those great big towers along highways….but they don’t provide signals everywhere they are needed.   A company called Vertical Bridge works with all the big name carriers to help fill in all of those blank spots in coverage.   CEO Alex Gellman says what the company builds are typically called small cells….

“And it encompasses  many different types of locations for antennas.   From bus shelters to billboards, to telephone poles, light standards and sides of buildings.”

And with all of the carriers now offering unlimited data plans….increasing the demand on their systems….the small cells can make all the difference.

You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
