GoPro Karma brings flexibility to serious drone photography

Techstination feature for Monday, April 10, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    GoPro’s first drone is again available to consumers…bringing GoPro quality 4K video with the Hero 5 camera…into the air.  Originally released last fall…the Karma Drone was recalled…and has returned with the issues resolved.   The rotor arms fold into the solid body for transporting and the camera attaches to the Karma grip stabilizer which can pop out when you want to use the camera on the ground.   GoPro’s Rick Loughery says that gives you smooth video everywhere…

“And of course, there’s the drone.  And the drone is really a super easy, out of the box get up and flying experience.”

It uses a clamshell type great controller with its own screen.   GoPro also includes a nicely designed backpack to carry it all.   The price with the Hero 5 Black is about 11 hundred dollars.
