Honor launches beta program for U.S. consumers

Techstination feature for Wednesday, April 26, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      How does an upstart phone maker aim to grow in the U.S.?    The Honor brand….owned by Huawei, has launched a program it calls Honor Beta and it is inviting interested consumers to apply.    What type of people are they looking for?  VP Zack Zhang…

“This is the most important thing…they like to do this kind of beta test.  As a beta test either the software or the hardware is before the commercial launch.  So that means that it still has a lot of problems on those kinds of devices.  So we need people who are really interested to find out which parts can have improvement and they are willing to do that.”

And it’s also plus if you don’t mind tinkering a bit…and don’t get flustered when helping to iron the problems out.    Just look for HonorBetaUSA on Facebook or check out HIHonor.com.
