Wearsafe growing wearable safety platform

Techstination feature for Friday, August 11, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    Personal safety at the touch of a button.    A company called Wearsafe has created a device you can clip onto clothing or a bag designed for peace of mind….for parents, students, caregivers and even joggers or hikers.   The Tag connects to the owners smartphone via Bluetooth….and in an emergency…with the press of a button it can alert family, friends, or whoever you designate….providing the GPS location…and it even provides an audio stream so those being alerted can hear what is going on.    There’s even an app to allow an Apple Watch to send alerts and there’s a new app for Android Wear as well.   CEO Dave Benoit…says Wearsafe is designed for a broad demographic range.  The cost?

“We provide Wearsafe as a subscription service and the cost is only five dollars a month.  And there’s no additional cost as we continue to roll out enabling other third part devices.”

For expectant mothers to be,  Wearsafe can provide some added peace of mind too.  There’s more at Wearsafe.com.
