Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. A medical device company called EarlySense is looking to disrupt the sleep tracking wearable business with a sensor that you place under your mattress. It is called EarlySense live. VP and General Manager Liat Tsoret…
“There is no contact between the sensor and the user and we can very accurately track the heart rate, the breathing rate, stress level and motion in bed. We have today systems that are placed in hospitals worldwide and in the U.S..”
It is a thin round disc that does have to be plugged in. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth to give you the data. The device can also be used to alert loved ones if breathing rates exceed pre-defined thresholds. That is by subscription for under ten dollars a month. The device itself….costs 169 dollars.
