Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     A big week for mobile phone lovers.   We’ll be finding out what’s next from Apple, and Samsung begins shipping the new Galaxy Note 8.    It’s a big deal for Samsung following the disastrous recall of the Note 7 and the company has handled it masterfully…thanking users who have remained loyal and offering discounts to those who had purchased a Note 7.   About the phone, product Marketing Manager Greg Batholomew says..

“The screen on it is the largest screen that we’ve ever had on a Note device, 6.3 inch quad HD plus display with the new Infinity display which is going to make you have more screen as well as easy to hold in one hand.  Of course, what makes a Note a Note is the S Pen and we’ve enhanced that. ”

And a whole lot more.    The Note 8 is expensive…but you can hunt around for carrier deals.
