Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     Amazon grows the world of Alexa devices again.   What’s new?     The New Amazon Echo has been redesigned into a smaller, more attractive cylinder ….with a smaller price of just 99 dollars or 3 for 250.   And the sound quality is being beefed up with support for Dolby Audio and a bass speaker.    Then there’s the Echo Plus…at 149 dollars which doubles as a smart home hub to control a variety of devices.   Also new is the Echo Spot….a circular alarm clock looking device with a 2 and a half inch display and a camera.   It will support video calls and will let you monitor security cameras too.   The price…129 dollars.   It won’t arrive until the week before Christmas though.   Also coming later this year is the Echo Connect….which will connect to a home landline…remember those…for use as a speakerphone and more.
