MealPal's takeout food by subscription

Techstination feature for Friday, October 6, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    A different kind of meal subscription plan.    MealPal is a company and an app that partners with restaurants in a growing number of cities…that allows you to order food for takeout by subscription.   Lunches at first…and now they’re expanding, starting with New York, into dinners.  CEO and co-founder Mary Biggins says lunch costs as little as 5.99 per day.   How do they do that?

“With MealPal, each restaurant is offering just one meal per day.  So when someone logs in, they could look at two thousand different restaurants but each restaurant will just be offering one meal that day.  And then when you reserve your meal, you also reserve the time that you’ll pick up your meal.”

The subscriptions are for twelve or twenty meals per month and there’s no long term contract.  Find more at MealPal.com.
