“This is a computational camera.   There are 16 discreet cameras in this device and every time you take a picture, we take ten and use an algorithm to fuse and combine them all together to one very high quality, very high resolution image.  So there’s five modules here at 28mm, five at 70mm and six at 150mm.  So you have the ability to zoom all the way through that range, optical zoom.    And the image you get is 52 megapixels in resolution.”

It's a whole new type of photography.   The company is taking orders at Light.co…with the L16 priced at 19 hundred 50 dollars.
