Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.       Like to know the back stories of companies that innovate?   Check out a new documentary available on Amazon Prime called This is What We Make.   Smart home gadget creator August is among the companies featured.   So is Primo Toys, maker of Cubetto.   It’s a wooden robotic toy that helps to teach children the basics of coding even before they are old enough to read.   Co-founder Valeria Leonardi says there are no screens being used…it’s all done with blocks…

“And as they introduce those blocks in the board, then they will press a button and those blocks are actually commands and as they are put together, by pressing the button the robot, Cubetto, will execute the command that the children put in the board.”

Smart and fun and well crafted.   But Cubetto is a bit pricey at 225 dollars.  And Primo Toys promises there’s much more to come.
