Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     Amazon says  the 2017 holiday season was its biggest ever.  And the top selling products were Amazon’s own devices…the Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote.   They are making connected intelligent assistants commonplace in homes in the U.S. and around the world.      It might be interesting to see if fewer people use the name Alexa for new born babies because of all the confusion it could cause.   And the Fire TV Stick means Amazon is becoming the go to source for TV entertainment too.   While many competitors are being overshadowed by Amazon…companies like toymaker WowWee are celebrating.   Amazon customers bought enough of WowWee’s innovative Fingerling toys to hang end to end down the Empire State Building more than 100 times.
