Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      With spring arriving and more of us heading outdoors….it’s becoming more and more likely that you’ll see riders zipping along on e-bikes.    The Bicycle Product Suppliers Association reports that shipments to retailers were up 92 percent last year.   I got a chance to chat with Raleigh Electric VP Rob Kaplan on the Interbike Podcast and he says when potential customers try an e-bike…they very often sell themselves…

“When they talk about what kind of bike they’re looking for, generally speaking I’ll respond back with …that’s great.  Are you looking for a pedal only bike or have you seen these new electric assist bicycles?”
