Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.   The latest camera from GoPro includes some high end features…at a lower price.   The GoPro Hero comes in at 199 dollars,  is waterproof without the need for additional housing, includes a two inch touch screen and voice control.   The resolution is full HD….not 4K…but not bad.   There are fewer shooting options than on the higher end Hero 6…but Director of Product Communications Kelly Baker says…

“It’s really durable, it can endure anything you throw at it.   But it’s at an affordable price point, so it’s great for people that maybe haven’t used a GoPro before or they’ve been considering it and just not sure they wanted that much tech in the palm of their hand.  And this is a great entry level camera for folks.”

And the results….as usual with GoPro….are amazingly good for such a small, rugged camera.
