Epson's FF680W makes photo scanning fast and simple

Techstination feature for Wednesday, September 12, 2018

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    Epson has added more versatility to its FastFoto scanner line with the new FF 680W.    I’ve been fan of the original wired version that can make it really easy to get shoeboxes full of photos digitized.    And the new wireless model is even more versatile.   Product manager Dave Hawkes…

“So we added an index system that stores the title of the photo into the meta data.   So when I scan the photos in that meta data is part of it.  So when you look for Thanksgiving 1988 in your Google Drive…that’s all you have to put in…Thanksgiving 1988 and it will pull up that photo.”

The scanning process is unbelievably quick and the new model can even handle those thicker Polaroid prints as well.    Beyond that the FF 680W can scan documents too.
