Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      Philips has been busy growing its line of Hue lighting for the smart home.    In the living room the company is helping to create ambience that can adjust lighting depending on what you are watching on TV  Philips’ Mike Deschamps…says arriving this fall is the Ascend line…

“Which is a family of products that include things like a floor lamp, table lamp, wall sconces as well as a pendant light that we see people are using for around the living room space, now kind of moving into that dining room space.  And then, speaking on the dining room, we also have another line of products that will kind of fit there.   So the Enchant pendant.”

The Hue lighting is simple to set up and while it may cost more than some other connected lighting…the ease and reliability make it worthwhile.
