Tosy Robotics mRobo Ultra Bass

Techstination feature for Monday, January 23, 2012

A robotics company from Vietnam draws a big crowd at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    It’s not easy for companies to get their products noticed at the huge Consumer Electronics Show.   But one called Tosy Robotics  managed to generate lots of excitement when it landed pop star Justin Bieber to make an appearance as it unveiled the mRobo Ultra Bass.   It’s a portable speaker that converts into a dancing robot.   Public relations manager Trang Pham….

“It is a one of a kind entertainment gadget.  So once the music starts playing the speaker will transform into a robot and start dancing to the music.”

It’s due out later this year for about two hundred dollars.   The company also is creating an under sixty dollar robot equipped with a camera that can hold a pen and sketch images it has snapped.    There’s more info at TOSY.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
