Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    Making gadgets more waterproof.    Phone makers like Apple and Samsung have come a long way in adding some degree of waterproofing to their phones…and even the Series 2 Apple Watch.   But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a market for adding even more protection.   Catalyst is out with ruggedized and waterproof cases for iPads, iPhones and Apple Watches… and now even the AirPods.   Those are the pricey wireless headphones from Apple.   Catalyst’s Chris Herbert says the new AirPods case provides plenty of protection…

“And they’re completely waterproof.  So you can drop them and the case stays safe.  So you don’t lose them, we’ve added a carabiner.  So I put it on the inside of my purse so I don’t have to dig for it.  When you’re talking about an expensive piece of equipment that’s very small and slick, you worry about damaging or losing it.”
