Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    With a cast that includes Geoffrey Rush as Einstein and his wife played by Emily Watson, the National Geographic ten part series Genius is making for great TV.    And if the formulas and scientific conversations appear to be more real than what you are used to seeing in movies and on TV….you can thank USC physicist Dr. Clifford Johnson.  Dr Johnson served as a consultant on the show and he tells us…

“Very key, is to make sure that they show, contrary to the myth, especially one of the most famous Einstein myths, a scientist is not his isolated intellect that just sort of seems to come up with amazing things in isolation.”

And Dr. Johnson is hoping the way the Einstein story is being told in Genius…will have a big influence on how TV programs like this are made in the future.
