Photog uses social media to lure leaf peepers and more

Techstination feature for Monday, October 16, 2017

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      Social media has been in the news a lot lately.   And often not in a very favorable light.    But if you want to get the word out about something like how great the fall foliage is this week in the mountains of West Virginia,  there’s no faster or better way to do it than through Instagram,  Facebook and more.   Justin Harris is the photographer for Canaan Valley Resort…a state park in the West Virginia mountains…

“One of the main reasons is people want up to date photography that shows what the conditions are, whether it be in the wintertime when we have skiing here or in the fall when we have the leaf season here.  They want to know what’s going on that day.  And by being out on the mountain and taking those pictures on a daily basis, I’m able to post them day of.”

For us travelers it’s a big help.  Search for Canaan Valley Resort for more.  You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
