Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      Kia has become the latest automaker to join the Telematics Exchange created by LexisNexis Risk Solutions.     Mitsubishi, Subaru and GM were already part of the exchange.  Marc Gordan, head of global telematics product strategy and development at LexisNexus says the idea is to share the data gathered by all of these connected vehicles being sold today…with insurance carriers.  And for consumers…the technology can be helpful…

“Simply put, allows a consumer to leverage their driving behavior when shopping for insurance so that they can get the most accurate price based on how they drive.”

Of course….the technology can give more drivers an incentive to correct any behaviors that might not be safe.
