Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        Ready for more AI in your home?     There’s news from both Amazon and Google.   In this episode, we’ll take a look at what Google is doing with Gemini for Home.   The great news here is  Google’s support for core Nest devices, including Nest Thermostat models since 2015.   For cameras, adding Gemini into he mix is game changing.   According to Google’s blog post…instead of a camera notifying you that a person was detected…your camera can tell you it saw Robin walking with flowers.   Automations…to control lights and other devices are easier to create too with the new Google Home app.  And the new capabilities will be available on third party devices as well, including the new onn cameras and doorbells from Walmart.   A ten dollar a month subscription will be needed for some of the new features.
