Significance of new FDA cleared Alzheimer's blood test

Techstination feature for Tuesday, October 28, 2025

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        The FDA has approved the first Alzheimer’s blood test for use in primary care.    At the Cleveland Clinic, chief wellness officer emeritus and best selling author Dr. Michael Roizen says the hope is that it will spur many into taking action…

“There are now a group of three tests that have been approved.  They can support one another.  It turns out if you have a positive on one of them then you probably don’t need the next and many people at that point just go with cognitive finding.  And the only reason to get the test is if you’ll do something that will change its course.”

Such as physical and mental activities such as brain training.    Dr. Roizen spoke in the latest edition of the What’s Next Living Longer Better Smarter podcst.
