For most consumers, 802.11G products are probably the smartest buy. They provide higher speeds but are backwards compatible with B. But keep in mind what you find in stores today meets the draft specifications for 802.11g. The reason to add A into the mix, is if that's the standard used in the office where you work. In the home, the faster wireless networks will become useful for streaming video from room to room...
