Palm's Tungsten sequel... .the T2. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. Palm has redesigned its original Tungsten handheld... .the one with the nifty slide open Graffiti area. The new model looks the same on the outside but includes double the memory... 32 megabytes... and a transflective color screen which makes it easier to see indoors and out. Palm's senior director of business solutions Jonathan Oakes...

"The great thing about this device is we updated the operating system, the newest version of OS 5. That gives us the ability to ship with the Real One player to listen to your MP3s. It also comes with the Kinoma player so you can watch video clips actually on the device. And we've also updated the phone drivers. As you may know, the Tungsten T series has a Bluetooth capability. Which means that it can talk to any of the Bluetooth enabled cell phones. Well we've updated the menuing, so it's easier to set up and we've expanded the number of cell phones that you're able to connect to."

In theory, pairing Bluetooth devices is simple... but it doesn't always work out that way. The T2 will sell for the same 400 dollar price as the original Tungsten T. The typically buyer...
