"It's a market that resembles the PC market back in 1985. It's growing..it's going to grow at about 75 percent a year for the next five years. What gives us really a great leverage is the business model, the business model that's been successful for us on the PC side and is going to allow us to be successful on the CE side where we go directly from the manufacturer to the consumer."
The idea is to use the company's 190 stores to show computers how various digital consumer electronics products can work together... something Kahl says other electronics retailers won't be able to do as well. 50 new products are planned by the end of this year...
"The goal at the end of the day is going to be able to provide the solutions around every one of the entertainment places in the home and make sure that we provide the infrastructure."
