Passwords upon passwords. How do you remember them all? There's software that can help. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. It's the most common security tool used on computers and the Internet... requiring a password. And so...

"The problem is that... it's just too many passwords. Most people who go on the Internet have let's say Yahoo Mail or an email account that requires a password, they have their online banking requires a different password, their brokerage account requires a different password, if they are gamers and they log onto gaming sites."

Andrew Finkle is a VP at Siber Systems, which makes a program called AI Roboform, designed to remember and automatically enter passwords for you. The encrypted information is stored on your computer... instead of Microsoft's server for instance used with Microsoft's .NET Passport...

"When it comes time that you need to access that information, there's one key that you have, one password, that unlocks all that information and makes it available to you. And what our product does at that point, it's able to intelligently recognize the form, the form fields in the specific Web site where it's at."

A free, limited version is available at Roboform.com. The unlimited version sells for 30 dollars. There are other, similar programs available. Gator offers an eWallet for free... but you'll have to put up with adware... targeted promotions and ads on your PC... to get it. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
