Fifty percent more screen real estate than you had with the original, with the other Palm branded hand helds, and at 320 by 480, twice the resolution of a Pocket PC."

Palm is also rolling out the Tungsten E... for half the price... with half the memory and without Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Also new is the Zire 21... a 99 dollar consumer model... that is a step up from the original Zire launched by Palm a year ago...
"And that was the best selling hand held ever, And we're updating it to give these customers more memory. So this will have four times as much memory as the original Zire hand held, this will have eight megs. It has the new ARM processor and the latest version of the operating system."
While the Zire 21 still lacks an SD memory slot... the added memory will allow users to take advantage of many of the Palm based applications. Palm has been facing increasing competition from companies like Sony, Samsung and Kyocera... on the Palm OS hardware side... and from Hewlett Packard and Dell on the Pocket PC side.
