"What PhotoSite is, is a Web site dedicated to photos. So essentially it's a very easy, fast and creative way to share photos on the Web. We've really built it from the ground up so that you can take hundreds or even thousands of photos, put them into albums, make them look very nice and publish them very, very quickly.
The site lets you share up to 250 pictures for about 5 dollars a month... or 50 dollars a year. Kitch is confident some people will be willing to pay... even though services like Ofoto... which is owned by Kodak... are free. He says they require users to upload high resolution images... which can take lots of time on dial up connections...
"You have to upload that entire picture and then once you're there the albums that you're building are completely tuned around getting you and your friends to print, because they make their money on printing."
PhotoSite offers hundreds of layouts and frame styles... and includes a variety of editing tools. Kitch believes the Web is the way lots of people will be sharing photos in the future. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin
