iPod worldwide product manager Danika Cleary says sales which topped 300 thousand in the last quarter... should continue to grow with new add-ons designed to make the devices more useful...
"Such as the ability to record voice notes with the voice recorder and ability to store your digital photos on iPod. Up to 20 thousand digital photos on a 40 gig iPod."
Those devices are being made by Belkin. Apple is facing more competition. Samsung is out with a Napster branded MP3 player... and Dell is getting into business as well.
"There's one really critical thing... which is Apple creates the software, iTunes, and the hardware, iPod, the hardware you use to listen to the music on. Nobody else has this entire seamless experience and nobody else can provide customers with that end to end solution."
