"The name of the game is to fill the frame. Most people, when they take a picture, they don't zoom in, they don't move in close enough. And with a digital camera, you know digital cameras have optical zooms and digital zooms. I recommend just use the optical zoom. If you want to get closer, zoom with your feet."

"When you're photographing a person I say see eye to eye. Try to shoot on the person's eye level so you're not looking down or looking up at the person. Beware of the background. The background can make or break a picture. Outside, it's wintertime, people are wearing hats. What I say is think flashy outdoor pictures. Use that flash on your camera, whether you have a one time use film camera or a digital camera. Think flashy outdoor pictures, that will fill in the shadows."
