"What we've done in version 8 here is add a video editing wizard that you either capture your video from your source, whether your camcorder or TV, wherever you're coming from, we have some auto editing features that will take out poorly shot video, so over exposed, under exposed video…and then you choose a project template or project style. We have old film style, holiday style, vacation style. So it comes with that, some background music, comes with some introduction or exit fonts, or titles. So you just type in the title, but the font style is already there."

There are plenty of tools for users who want to experiment and do more on their own….but again….there's a learning curve. Ulead isn't alone in its efforts to make movie editing easier. Roxio has taken a similar approach with the latest version of its VideoWave software. You don't have to spend money to get started.
