Stopping online child pornography. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. The Internet has brought lots of changes for the better into everyday life. Information of all kinds is just a mouse click away. But the Internet has also made it easier for purveyors of child pornography. Technology can also be used to combat the problem. Microsoft and philanthropist Sheila Johnson have donated a combined one million dollars to help educate the public and law enforcement agencies around the world. Johnson, who is on the board of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children tells us…

"It's a very scary situation. It's a situation that does not discriminate among anyone. It goes across wealthy, not wealthy, all color barriers. Right now the reason why we're doing this joint effort is it's a huge educational approach to everyone. We're putting it in their face."

Microsoft deputy general counsel Nancy Anderson says parents can use software tools to help safeguard their children. And…

"In addition to the money, we are contributing technical know-how to participate in the training of law enforcement officers around the world. And to date we've already trained law enforcement officers from more than 90 countries worldwide."
