"17 inch seems to be okay. We're starting to see a little bit of a constraint on the 19 inch side just because the market is starting to grow in the larger screen sizes. It seems as though the shift has gone from 15-17 up to 17-19 inches being the main stream products that people are looking for today."
Even with the supply constraints…competition has continued to push prices lower. Islas says…
"In the past, 19 inch was somewhere about 1199 price category, 999. We're seeing it as low as 699, 549 price range. So we've really seen it come down and I think it's still going to probably be a little bit …there'll be a little bit more of a price decrease on the 19 inch side. 17 inch…a little bit more but not too much more. I think you're going to starting seeing it on the 21 inch…even 24 inch category."
A 24 inch screen still takes a lot of green….about 26 hundred dollars. Samsung has added some new technology called Magic Tune, which gives users control of their displays through software…instead of through typical buttons and knobs on the monitors themselves. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
