"One of the challenges working on this game is Pixar are experts along with Disney at creating these fantastic stories that really capture you and pull you into their world. And Pixar in particular brings such a unique look and feel to any of their films and The Incredibles is no different in that. And I think one of the challenges for us is to make the game look as good as the film does. Which I think is a huge challenge."
Hall says creating the new Sponge Bob game…as the movie is being made is also a tough task. The hope is both games will appeal to a wide age range…
"Sponge Bob appeals to everybody. I think kids like it, adults like it. They've got a nice contrast…very, very strong writing. And so there's a lot of humor that kids get that I think is very straight forward and there's a lot of humor that the adults get from sort of the conversation innuendo and a kind of context situation that the characters end up in. One thing that's particularly cool about The Incredibles is that it seems to be targeted at an older audience than what Disney Pixar films have been before."
Hall expects the movie will get a PG rating….while the video game will be rated for teens and older. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
