I'd say that the most significant new product that we're introducing today is probably going to be a camera called the A95. It is a five megapixel version camera that'll sell for only 399.00. It has a 3X optical zoom lens and a full range of other camera features that make it easy to use."
Canon recently announced plans to build a new factory in Japan for digital cameras to help keep up with demand...
"In the USA this year, we're expecting that the total market for compact cameras is going to exceed 18 million units. That compares to about 13 or 14 million units last year. What we're hoping to do is to actually go from our current position where we're neck and neck with Sony and Kodak to a clear number one market share by the end of the year."
