The Zagat Survey publishes guides to twenty cities and has made limited reviews available to online services for a decade...starting with Prodigy, Compuserve, AOL and more recently Microsoft's Sidewalks. Now...

"What we've decided to do is put all of our restaurant content up on our new site, which will be the most robust, interactive, exciting restaurant content on the web."

Nina Zagat who started the survey with her husband Tim twenty years ago. Register for free at zagat.com, and you can use all of the great features. Search by rating, cuisine or decor...get maps and directions to restaurants... and you can take part in the rating process...

"What we're doing is inviting people who register on the site, to vote on all the restaurants that they go to. And they'll even have their own personal voting diary, so that they can keep track of the restaurants they go to all year, vote on them, go back in and change their votes if they have a different experience at the restaurant."

The survey will not take ads from restaurants to keep the process unbiased. Eventually Zagat.com plans to add menus and links to restaurants on the web. It also lets you vote online for a new Diner's Bill of Rights.
