"There's actually two versions of Halo 2. The standard game itself is standard Xbox pricing, 49.99. And for 54.99 you get the collector's edition which comes in a metal box and features a bonus DVD that has over two hours of content.
Microsoft is counting on the game to spur game console sales over the holiday season. Jarrard tells us if there's a Halo 3….it will be developed for the next generation console. There have been books out based on the game story line..and about the possibility of a movie, Jarrard says…
"Well fans have been asking for a movie for a long time and it certainly would make sense. It's a great story, a lot of good material to work with. We're not ready to announce anything right now. I for one, as a fan, would love to see a movie. It certainly could happen at some point in the future."
Halo 2 will compete against some popular other sequels for video game supremacy over the holidays…including Take Two's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Konami's Metal Gear Solid 3.
