Planning a vacation? A couple more web sites to check out. I'm Fred Fishkin with Bootcamp, a report on computers and technology. Just about everyone these days, it seems, is making travel plans on the web. There are great do it all sites like Expedia.com or Travelocity.com, but there are others that have carved out a more specialized niche in cyberspace. For instance, there's hoteldiscount.com...

"And we're the largest provider of discount hotel reservations on the Internet. We do two things. One is that we offer rates that are lower than what travelers can find on their own in the most popular cities. We're in 34 markets and we also have availability during sold out and tight periods."

Hotel Discount head Robert Diener (Deener). Go online and see for yourself. If it's an out of the way spot you're looking for, try a site called vacationspot.com. CEO Steve Murch...

"We have unique properties all around the world that today you wouldn't find easily without scouring the newspaper classified ads. And on VacationSpot.com you can just click with a mouse and find floor plans, photos, traveler reviews, you can find out what other people have said about the property before hand. It's really just a fantastic way..it sort of opens up a new type of property to the traveling consumer."

There are out of the way destinations and bargains near popular sites like Orlando. Send us a postcard.
