"These models with the built in hard disk drive recorders will start at about four thousand dollars. And depending on screen size and other features, will go up to about fifty five hundred dollars. It's a very exciting time in this business because last year we saw retail prices decline dramatically and so it became more affordable for most consumers. In 2006, retail prices will probably decline gradually throughout the year, but probably no more than twenty percent."
And that should enable even more people to fit those big flat screens into their budgets. LG has plenty of competition…from Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and others. And the race to add cool new features to set models is just getting started. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
