"Well the fact is DLP gets to markets and gets to products and sizes that LCD and plasma can't get to as cost effectively. So if you look at the 40 inch and greater world…especially 50 inches and greater….DLP simply has the best looking display, the longest lasting display … and it can be done for the lowest cost." How long can you really keep that price advantage? "Oh I think, if you take a look, for quite a while. And the reason behind that is, as the diagonal sizes get larger…the competitive technologies of LCD and plasma get more expensive.
We can build them cheaper every year." Is there a point, though, where we've reached the screen sizes for consumers…that they're not going to want them any bigger than that… I don't know what that point is? "I'm not so sure that we're going to find that happen. I think you're going to find technologies like DLP establish a very strong position in the 40 inch and greater space. It's been the market that we've aimed at the whole time."
